Talking My Imaging Setup

My imaging setup is complete (almost... ).

I went to pick up my EQ6 Pro from Steve (madtuna) today and what can I say, it is a beast! My C8 and guide scope fits perfectly on the EQ6.

I can now seriously get into astrophotography and the best part about it is that there will be no more field rotation in my images. It is going to be a steep learning curve trying learn how to Polar align and Drift align but I am always up for a challange.

My imaging setup will be my C8 f/6.3 with a 70mm guide scope piggybacked on a EQ6 pro and a Canon 450D.

I can't wait for first light and I would like to thank Steve again for his help.

Thanks guys,

Rob, the rings and mounting plate are commercially made from ADM.

Have a look here,

I am hoping to setup on the weekend and hopefully get some imaging done, weather permitting! I just checked the weather forecast for the weekend and it looks good, actually very good.

This will be my very first time Polar aligning and Drift aligning, so if everything goes to plan, I hope to get some imaging done. I wont be guiding yet until I get a GPUSB thingy.
