Not sure what I'm seeing.....

Morning All,

I'm really hoping that someone may be able to shed some light on a object that I've seen in the South Western sky between 0615 and 0625 the last three mornings.

On all three morning's I've been travelling between Mt Pleasant (South Aust, 34 46'S, 139 3'E) and Birdwood (also in SA, 34 49'08"S, 138 57'54"E) between 0615 and 0625. The eastern horizon has been behind me, the conditions have been quite cold but clear and the sun has not yet risen. Given it is a rural area there is very little if any light pollution.

I have seen what I can best describe as looking like a single, large and extremely bright aircraft landing light (no port or starboard lights visible) at about treetop height infront of me. The object has been visible for anything up to 5 minutes and then suddenly vanishes. It really does look like the landing lights of an approaching aircraft, but given that there are no strips near by that could accomodate a large aircraft, I'm not certain as to what it is.

I don't think its an irridium flare or similar, but would really like to know what it is I'm seeing each morning.

Thanks
Red
