Triffid Nebula, my sharpest yet

Hi all
Using short 10 sec. iso1600 pics downloaded to the laptop and checking focus I got the sharpes focus I could on the modded 350D, then did 50 mins on the triffid with the hutech lps filter
Lerger version here

5x10 mins ISO400 Hutech lps filter, Baader mpcc, modded 350D, 10 inch f5.6 newtonian. Hand guided with q guider cam

Thanks. I was happy to get the blue tinge near the centre of the red nebulosity- reflection from the hot blue star

I also just recorded the jet shown in Hubble images

Its a brilliant image.. I was wondering, could you mail me a copy @ 1920x1080 so i can use it as a desktop background to execturbo -at- calaisturbo -dot- com -dot- au

Yep seeing was quite good, though VERY damp, I could hear water dripping down roof downpipes, and even starting to condense on the laptop, and the sky was quite light, I think the filter helped counter act that bright sky background.

As I type its raining, tis good the rain only returned with the waxing moon
