NGC 5128 Reprocessed

I was never completely satisfied with the previous version.
In the previous version the outer envelope was inconspicuous and the colour balance was out.

I think this one is better.

90m L, 50m R, 50m G, 50m B ST-X10ME, BRC-250.

Gday

I don't know a lot about imaging but that looks like an awsome image of NGC 5128. NGC 5128 is one of my fave galaxies to.

This version hits the mark Steven! Wonderful shot - those dust lanes go on forever! Very smooth, good detail and great colour!

Cheers, Marcus

Steve,

Very tidy indeed. Perhaps still a little too yellow? Guiding excellent, yet the stars are a little bigger than what I'd expect from the excellent BRC of yours.

Well done

Peter

Tough one Steven. I actually prefer your previous image or something between the two. Of course this is solely my opinion. Both are lovely renditions of this grand galaxy. Well done.

Hello Peter,

The bigger stars are the result of processing. The image is presented at 90% resolution, no deconvolution or DDP was applied and most importantly I use a high white point as I don't find nebulous looking stars particularly appealing.

Regards Steven
