Connecting to Starry Night Pro 6

Howdy all,

I'm trying to use Starry Night to control my Meade LXD 55 10" F/4 Scope via USB to serial connection into the Autostar handbox. Alas I've had no success with this version of Starry Night.

Previously I've used Starry Night 4.X to connect up with my Scope via Serial port on COM 1. This time I'm using USB to serial & trying to connect on the same COM port, it's not in use & I have tried other ports all the way up to COM5.

The puzzle is I can connect into my handbox via ASU updater software & successfully upgraded my Autostar firmware to a newer version.

In Starry Night I'm using the ASCOM driver interface & LX200 & other autostar driver, like I used to do on my older Starry Night software.

I'm running Windows Vista 32x86 Ultimate O/S.

Can anyone help me out on this?

Thanks in advance.

Solved my own problem.

It was the address mapping for my USB to serial cable on the USB HUB. Starry Night is working perfectly
