Sun Halo

Hi, found an interesting image of a sun halo while searching for info on comet McNaught on wiki. Thought I'd share

yeah that 'sun halo' looks great hey
I found an image I'd taken at the begining of this year of a 'sun dog' and while browsing the images on wiki found this interesting one with the photoshop added ...lol
Check the wiki site, an interesting way to learn about these type of phenomena.

I have 'heard' a couple of airline pilots discussing glories on other science related forums a while back, which had prompted me to find further, on that wonderful atmospheric optics website. I had the impression that it something that is not uncommon for pilots to see.
