Atlas, Hercules and Endymion - Feb. 14

Hi all,

Here another image from February 14th session under fair seeing and
average transparency, likely the poorest one of this session.

Just 30 frames averaged for this image with another classical lunar zone
causing some excessive graining.

More to follow.
Thank you for your attention.

Hi Paolo

A beautiful image – it really generates the feeling of flying over the region, looking down on the lunar terrain as it slides beneath you.

Whilst there is evidence of some noise due to the very low number of frames you managed to wrestle from the night, you have processed it well to bring out the nice, subtle markings on the floor of Endymion.

I also love the detail in the features of Atlas and Hercules – dare I suggest that this effort could have been Hercules’ 13th labour!

Cheers

Dennis

Dennis,

Thank you for your nice comment!
Yeah, Hercules should be proud of myself!
I share with him the same kind of labour when processing!

Lovely work Paolo. How many targets do you typically go for in a lunar imaging session?

Thank you, too, Iceman Mike. I always grab images until weather conditions or the HD free space allow this!
