Just sold the modded 40D but now i have the VLC-FF1 daylight front filter left behind. This is brand new condition. It is designed to be fitted for a 40D. I have only use this filter
once for testing only.
The filter will turn modded DSLR's back for daylight use. The transmission is the closest to the original canon filter. All the automatic functions works perfectly such as macro/sport/landscape etc. After adding this front filter, you are
not required one bit to do any CWB. You can just leave the camera in AWB mode just like a non modded DSLR!!
One reason why i bought this filter for the 40D is because in my own opinion, the 40D kicks with daylight shot. You want the 40D back to its original form one way or another. Adding a UV/IR filter will not make the 40D back to normal even with CWB as it still looks different. I have tested this. This filter also protects dust from entering your cmos sensor when changing lense etc etc.
I guess not many people on here has a modded 40D besides Fred? so Fred?
