Found another bug in the Synscan 3.21

Not that big a deal though.
When you select Saturn from the planet menu and have the mount slew to it, if the planet is a little out and you recenter then sync Saturn to that new location it says "Re centering Uranus" not Saturn.

Like I said no big deal but but thought I'd mention it.

Edit.

It also does the same with Mars, when recentering and syncing it comes up with Jupiter.

yeah... I had that problem last night too!

Do you know if it does end up syncing properly? Or does it sync the wrong planet?

I struck the same problem a couple nights ago, but I was having other problems with the mount at the time. I think the thought in the back of my head was, "Hmmm... is Uranus near Saturn in the sky at the moment?...". I haven't followed up with it since. (And yeah, I know, Uranus is nowhere near Saturn at the moment.)

It seems my mount had a faulty RA encoder, and wouldn't find the right spot in RA, zooming past where it was supposed to go. Ron at Sirius Optics swapped the mount with another, and it seems to have fixed it. (Whew..., not the operator then...)

Cheers.

Just a suggestion but I woudn't bother doing a sync on the planets. The algorithm for their position is nowhere as accurate as the stars and it will throw off your goto accuracy.

Thanks guys.

I havent actually synced the scope when it gives the wrong planet. Incase it does throw the alignment off, who could be bothered doing another 3 star alignment.

Thanks
Sandy
