My first Ganymede of 2008

Well it's not much - the altitude was about 40deg and the seeing was only 6/10 but here's my first Ganymede for 2008.

It's only 1.3 arcseconds in diameter, and over 5.7au distant (over 850million km's) but there's still some detail visible.

Hopefully more to come

Good effort, Mike.

Although the thumbnail stays very small when you click it

It's a small image (under 200pixels wide).

Wow Mike! Your images continue to amaze me.

On my computer moniter I can actually see some surface detail showing. Very well done.
