UFO snapped over Thames

By SEBASTIAN LANDER
Published: 28 Feb 2008

A STUDENT was left shocked when she checked her tourist snaps of the London skyline - and spotted what looks like a flying saucer.
University Of Exeter academic Karolina-Slavka Mueller was in London for the weekend, when she took some shots with her camera phone of the sights.
But when she looked back at the January 19 night time pictures of Tower Bridge and the London Eye, she was shocked to see an apparent UFO.
And experts claim it is the real thing.
Karolina said in an email: "What's very strange about this is the fact that we didn't actually see this object in the sky while I was taking the photos.

"I only discovered it once I loaded the photos onto my computer as I didn't even look at the photos until then."
The images - taken around 3.50am - were taken eight minutes apart as Karolina and two pals drove through Central London.
The apparent UFO is at an angle and appears to emit a mysterious blue light.
Karolina added: "None of us can come up with a reasonable answer to what this might have been.
"One of my friends, the driver, has grown up in London and he can't find a reasonable answer.
"He says he's never seen anything like it and that there definitely isn't any building in this area that could look like this."
UFO experts have been left scratching their heads over the sighting.
Editor, cameraman and UFO researcher Chris Martin said: "I was looking for evidence that these have been fabricated.
"I couldn't find any evidence. It's unprecedented because she produced three pictures, which seems to show it's flying.
"My own evaluation is that these photographs are genuine and have not been digitally manipulated or hoaxed."
He added: "These photos are, in my opinion as a UFO researcher, absolutely astounding and show a real object seemingly under intelligent control.
"This is a classic flying saucer-shaped UFO."
A Ministry of Defence spokesperson did not comment on the sighting, saying: "The MoD examines reports solely to establish whether UK airspace may have been compromisedby hostile or unauthorised military activity.
"Unless there is evidence of a potential threat, there is no attempt to identify the nature of each sighting reported."

First hint is the article is from the Sun news paper.

This is the same paper that would have us believe a lady has given birth to aligator headed children, Azaria Chamberlain was abducted by and living with Elvis and Anjolina Jolie used to be a man...and yep, they have the photos to prove it!

Looks suspiciously like the reflection of the bottom of a can

So why did no-one see it at the time? Are they saying it's got a cloaking device that makes it invisible to the human eye but not to a camera???

Maybe it thought the London Eye was another UFO and was trying to make contact.

I've got a mate who loves this sort of thing.
He believes that they wouldn't publish it in the newspaper or in a book if it wasn't true.

I agree, it bears a striking resemblance to the ferris wheel. Lens flare (internal reflection) is my guess.

Looks like the Millenium Falcon finally made it to earth.

If you look carefully you can see Chewbacca's face in the window.

Na not likely, as mentioned probably some lens flare, or reflection, however it is an interesting pic.

The picture foreground is a road, so it is safe to assume the photo was taken from a vehicle. If the photo was taken from a vehicle, then the photo was most likely taken through glass, so my bet is that it is an internal reflection off the glass windscreen/window of the vehicle that the person was travelling in.

I thought only the Klingons and Romulans had cloaking devices. It doesn't look like any of their ships.

Ahhh yes,
the UFO stories...

It used to be, years ago, that you would get these lovely grainy blurred shots from someone who happened to be using a camera for something and then quickly took a shot of a UFO without being able to set all the adjustments on the camera etc.

But if you squinted REEEEEAL hard you could make out the aliens...or at least something that didn't look altogether like a hubcap tossed in the air. And everyone wondered about the space travelers, even when some people said "Hey! we just tossed a hubcap into the air".

Now that everyone has a camcorder, video camera, phone camera, etc and that cities such as London in particular have CCTVs everywhere, running ALL the time (London has the most per capita did you know),

you just don't seem to get any shots of these visitors anymore.

Except from papers like the SUN.

Who knows...
A bit sad to think anyone would travel this far to come hang around, cloaked above the London Eye...

"Hey Zorg, here it is at last, The Golden Eye, it was sooo hard to study from planet Zyrgdon...I'm glad we came. While we're here should we probe some humans?..."

Frank

I've had a look at both pics and..........
Its a lovely reflection of the inside of her camera lens body and lens, you can see the edge if you just change perspective a little and look at as though it were concave and not convex. As for the Sun, its a red dwarf, sinking rapidly and not very bright

So are you implying that there are other, as yet unknown, races capable of cloaking technology! Now we are really in trouble...let's just hope it's not the Borg
