Horsey and Flame

It was a very nice dark clear night last night.
This image was taken through the E-R80 Refractor mounted on the Cube. Gstar-Ex camera, Sense Up 128x. I can finally use the Mogg focal reducer now. I pull apart my barlow and use it as an extension tube. It's nice to have that little extra FOV.
I only took 17 frames (total of about 44 seconds of capture) because of the cursed field rotation.
Anyway, here it is.

That's a nice wide field JJJ. It would be interesting to see the image post processed with stacking and stretching rather than sensed up by the camera.

Peter,
I did put the 17 frames through DSS then touched it up a little in PS3 and PSP. But such small batches will only bring out so much detail.
I'd love to see the results using one or two hundred frames!

Hi,

It's exciting to get your first horsey. Given all the LP it's impossible to see in Sydney. Good capture

This is the new and improved version.
70 frames this time, some taken last night the rest from the other night.
It cleaned up some of the noise and added a bit more detail.
