Advice on a finder scope / guide scope needed

Hi Guys and Girls,

I am looking to emulate mr wesley again .

I have my old toucam and am looking to get a rock solid finderscope that I can then easily attach the toucam to.

So I would appreciate any suggestions particuliarly from the deep space guys.

"ST4-compatible CCD autoguider interface (6-wire RJ12 phone jack standard connection) works with all compatible drive interfaces "

My Dob driver II hand controller comes with the above interface along with a phone jack / parrallel cable. I assume a product like guide dog (and the toucam) talking to the lpt1 port would then talk to the interface???

The final two questions are 1. i assume i need one visual guide scope and one that is attached to the toucam. The 2nd question is do mogg adapters make an adapter to fit the range of guidescopes. and whilst thinking, is it a prime focus thing ie screw out the end lens of the finderscope???

Dave, knowing that you like to DIY, it might be worth talking to Ken (ballaratdragons) about his guidescope. He has a home made very lightweight (made by Bert I believe) guidescope knocked up from an old objective and some PVC pipe with a rather clever method for adjusting the guidestar alignment.
