Widefield

Hi,

I was out the back trying to get something cool with the 8" at prime focus (didn't work out ). I gave up after a couple of hours and decided to see what I could get by way of widefield.

The following is from a Pentax *ist DS @ 50mm and I think I was using F2.8. Can't remember any other details, but it turned out alright for a quick little widefield in light polluted Liverpool.

Regards

Daniel...

Daniel,

Always nice to get a shot in no matter what it is of. Its like going fishing and getting no fish otherwise!

I quite like the image too. Reminds me of the sky I missed last night due to coulds, which I so much wanted to look at with my new ep. Another time no doubt

Cheers

Paul

Well done

Hi,

Yeah it is, I was using the tungsten setting and haven't processed it out enough.

Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated.

Good photo. I thought there might be some more detail, so I gave the pic a stretch and found a big bright area under the cross, so stretching didn't really help. Some of this is Milky Way, but it should go above the Cross as well. Do you have a light source or light pollution nearby?

Hi,

Yep

Behind me I had a streetlight and to the right I had the local shops, which are lit up like Christmas light. I think maybe there is a bit too much vignetting as well, possibly.

Thanks

Daniel...
