Smile Broke the 100 mark!

Last night I broke the 100 mark in my project to photograph all NGC objects visible from my location, ending up with 127 objects now photographed . 4 nights of imaging, only one being a full run, the others involving lots of messing around to tweak the process.

43 in one night last night there were 5 on top of that which failed due to being outside of slew limits.

Took me a total of 15 minutes to build the night's script and set it going

Largely irrelevant to anyone else, but I'm really happy that I've got it working relatively smoothly now

Well done Roger

How many more to go?

It sounds like you have invented a new sport "Speed Imaging" or "Extreme Astrophotography"

Cheers

Total of about 4986, so that leaves about 4859

I am tempted to see just how many objects I can get in one night, perhaps just 3x30sec of each But that's probably just silly, although maybe fun.

Considered it .... but not at this stage ... however I must remember to pass some of my images though to someone who was interested in using them for nova searching....

You might have to buy yourself a telescope so you have something to do while imaging!
