really, fringe_dweller

Really brother, if we're gonna be really OTT and (astronomically) "factual" shouldn't that read"

"once upon a time as Kuiperkraft 1 settles down on Pluto's moon Hydra (more correct and poetic than "snake valley!")......and as the intrepid voyagers shut down their retros.....navigator Norm(?) lets out his obligatory (expletive deleted) "Holy **##@%* Captain, I musta stuffed up the co-ordinates - we're on the wrong moon - and I think we've used up too much fuel!"....to which Captain Charisma responds cooly...."I trusted you Norm, and now look where you've put us, at the edge of the Solar System with next to Nix...."

Cheers (this is not Kokatha man but his idiot half-brother...)

Alex, you've got my half brother really depressed now.....he may be an idiot but he's not stupid...(?)....wishes me to point out that Nix, along with Hydra, are the moons of the Pluto/Charon dwarf duo......zounds! this gets stupider and stupider by the minute - I've suspended his pc rights (and him from the ceiling) till further notice....

Ok...here's my suggestion:

Gazing into the interstellar void before him, his mind filled with memories of a future that could have been, he reached for the lever. In an irreversible move he pulled it resolutely.

The end

Of course, this is but a suggestion for an ending, so we now have a beginning, a setting and an ending (of sorts).
Up to all of you to fill in the rest of the story.
cheers

Hi everyone!!..I thought I'd add a little something!
" notices only metres from the ship an enormass swirling cloud of total darkness, an erie void, which moved like gigantic bubble changing shape.."Captain! you should see this!!" cried out thr crew member..The Captain looked with astonishment...years of space exploration haven't prepared her for something as bizzare as this. Navigator O'Reily calls out.."Our scanners didn't show it Captain!..for all intent purposes it doesn't exsist!..I don't believe it..Sir!..it's starting to glow!...it looks like...a star map!!...it's our Solar system!!..con't
Cheers!
