A great looking image, everything in my amateur eyes looks very nice. The stars are sharp and the colours look spot on.

A fine job.

Good stuff,
well done,
Awsome comet shot too on the website gallery
Would be worth considering putting some details on the images about gear used, exposure times etc, just a thought.
cheers

Nice image Ken, although the core is a little overexposed. Your amongst some of the best in the world on that site, scary place to post a pic ;-).

Thanks for comments

Yes the core, the core, If you have a look see at my M42 it has the same problem. I have to come to grips with the dynamic range in the camera. You know gain and offset, the QHY8 is a great camera but takes a bit of work and I'm still getting use to it. Will post more details about exposure and what not. The standard of the site, yes some of the members produce some of the best shots your ever going to see, but what a great place to learn.

Well, M42 is a special case, really does require blended mutiple exposure times. But The Tarantula can be processed with a single exposure time with PS non linear stretching. Are you useing PS?, if not, you should ;-).

Russell Croman's M42 is like an Oil Painting, it is Absalutly Fabulous
I am just waiting for an amateur to image Proplids (Proto Planetery Discs) in M42.
The standard of images in that web site are amazing.
Keep up the good work, Ken
Ron
