Sunbirds

Took this photo of our regular visitors, who are looking to build a new nest in the porch of our garage. The photo was taken with the digital zoom from 27 ft way. The birds are about the same size as the silvereyes.

Lovely little birds.
They remind me of Rainbow honey eaters (which are much bigger), are they related?

Nice image.

G'day mate. Sunbirds are Nectariniidae, whereas the rainbow BEE eaters are in the family Meropidae.
