Hi All,
If you thought 2008 A1 is faint at Mag. 14, see if you can spot this one.

5min exp L at -10
5min gap between
Dark subtracted and cropped to make it a little easier.

Nobody loves comets after they have done their thing.

* The thumbnail looks a bit rough, I found it better enlarged.

Yes, I was. Also how imagers seem to say "there are no comets around at the moment".

I noticed these when blinking to find the comet. On the full frames there are lots.
I didn't do any hot/cold pixel removal.
Other than that;
Head-on Meteors -unlikely,
Cosmic rays -probably.

Any other suggestions?

Well done Jeff. How do you get them on the CCD chip, you go on the actual starfield? I guess the GOTO of the losmandy mount is quite accurate?

I use Argo (RA, Dec Mode) and The Sky for scope pointing after I locate the object with Guide 7. I use Focus in Maxim to refine the field.

I know there would be easier ways but I trust this one.

A goto would be great, the G11 motors don't have the slew as far as I know.

Just think, if the 100 metre OWL telescope was built, and one put an eyepiece at its focus, one might see it visually lol!
