They did warn people on Current Affair programs that doctors are getting a massive influx of wii patients!
Some are major nerve damage!!!
Most are minor nerve or tendon damage.

Some of these are funny. Check out the stitches in the head, broken knee, busted ankle etc etc:

Pack your shoulder with Ice, Sonia. It will keep the swelling down.

Don't knock the Wii.
You know, its funny, but it appears that this is one gaming console actually seems to be making people do what other electronic gamers haven't been doing for years. That being getting EXERSIZE!
The only problem seems to be that people who use the Wii are overdoing it. Everything in moderation, and nothing to excess.
They should put a login in timer on some games. Only play it for a set period, and then it shuts off for a set period, so you don't wreck yourself.
But I feel for you Sonia. I went to an airshow several years ago, and after looking up at the sky ALL DAY, my neck about broke in half. The bad part was I was living alone 25 KM from town, and the pain was so bad I couldn't get off my bed except for dunny runs, and I had to be ready to burst first! It took me TWO days on my back before I was even able to lift my arms enough to drive myself to the docs to get some pills.

haha. Yeah, the Wii Rocks! And boxing can get quite tiring in the beginning...but after a while, as all humans do, you work out you don't need to do huge moves with your arms. You can pretty much just "Play the air drums" to box.
Enjoy the Wii mate!

How not to get a lot of sympathy from your medico.
Admit to injuring yourself playing video games.

I had a similar problem years ago, doc found it wasn't in the shoulder/arm it was my neck muscles. Remember they go half way down your back. Sitting in a fixed position for a long time will do it.

Full sympathy to you Sonia.
After looking through the Wii Have a Problem website I can see that you got off lightly.
