First time widefields from the modded DSLR

Hi Guys,

heres my effort at widefield with my cheapo lense, canon 28 - 105mm F3.5-4.5. These were taken at F4.5 . I thought i wouldnt be able to capture this at all from my light polluted sky. But the 5 minutes exposure took care of that also Paul's recent spectacular shot of LMC gave me the courage to go for it!

Nice work Eric - betcha had fun getting those!! How did you deal with the light pollution?

Good stuff Eric ! good to see you try some widefield stuff
the eta and orion ones are quiet nice. I suppose your biggest prob in the burbs will be LP gradients to deal with.
keep at it while the weather lasts!
wish we had some more clear skies here ..

cheers. Not much houghy just got to put up with it. i guess thats why i don't use my lense to do astro stuff . i only have the 48mm IDAS LPS2 filter .

thanks gary, yea my sky literally glows at night. nothing i can do even my flats arent even constant.

Great widefields Eric, very enjoyable to view. There's even a Horsey caught in the Orion widefield, well done.

Bit wide for my tastes Eric, not critising the pics persay, but your regular stuff has more impact.
