Anyone seen a viking ?

found his helmet,

Taken on g11 with 12 inch newt and modded 300d, 5 exposures 360 sec iso 800 , plus darks and flats.

Indeed, very nice work Alchemy. Pleasing colours, though interesting composition with the object being offset from centre. Well done. I've also targeted this object, but need a lot more data.

Didn`t realise there was fainter nebulosity extending below it as well.

thanks for taking a look everyone, i would have done more exposures but was stopped due to conditions, i probably should have cropped out the lower and right hand side, the rhs particularly has remnants of amp glow from chip. still thats how it was shot, as time goes on we will sort out those little bugs.

As its pretty much in a good location for imaging at the moment i expect we will see a few more soon, ezy repro'd one earlier but for others particularly those with dslrs it picks up quite well.... just hurry before jase does his.

again thanks for looking ,i'll close off now and go take a look at some of your images.

Really very nice Alchemy. Lots of detail and very sharp.

The modded Canon sure brings out the detail. We tried this one last week but conditions were too warm.

Got better subs on Monday night. Just have to finish processing
