The moon through the Pleades this morning (03/07/2005)

Yes I know this isn't a great image but it is the best I could do! I got up a few times in the wee hours of this morning to see this and was beaten back by the rain and clouds a few times. finally go an image at 5.30 this morning. BTW mars looked very red and very bright as well. Perhaps I should have got my scope out!

Nice image Houghy, We have lost the pleades for the winter down south unfortunately, it's HRH Liz's favourite. Liz lived in England for some time, part of which was spent in Seven Sisters Road, in an apartment on the seventh floor, with an Isralie girl who was, you guessed it, one of seven sisters, all without knowing the existance or significance of the pleades and the seven sisters....

I like it Houghy...something different instead of the real close ups all the time....gives it a bit of personality.
