The Camera Has Arrived
Finally the DMK has arrived and what timing indeed. It looks like it is going to be crystal clear tonight with not one cloud, so hopefully I can get first light with this camera.
I also have to say that the camera is very well made, not one bit of plastic on it. So far I am very very pleased with the DMK.

Glad you finally got your camera, Matt
It's always an anxious time waiting for those things to arrive.
Now the fun begins!
Hope the sky stays clear for you. Looking forward to seeing your first DMK images. Get some practice in on mono imaging.

Yep The cloud density is proportional to the value of the Astronomical purchased.

I don't think the clouds will be clearing anytime soon.
I was just testing the camera on a terrestrial object and all I saw was grey. Is this normal? Do I have to change the settings?

Hi Lee,
I am using it with my scope.
What do you mean focused?
Do you mean focus the Camera or focus the Telescope?

Focus the scope - the scope puts a focused image onto the chip - to focus my DMK through my refractors (ED80 and a 100mm f/5) requires an extension piece (35mm does it) or a diagonal before the DMK.

Thanks Lee, will do. It's a bit dark to try now though. I hope the sky would clear by tomorrow.
Just a quick question. Which format is uncompressed?

Good luck! Mine focuses pretty much as the focuser is all the way out, with a 35mm extension in place.
Unsure of formats - I've only used mine for guiding so far.....

The DMK has a home!
I've been a bit bored lately because over here it has been cloudy. So I made a new home for my DMK. I cut a hole in my EP case to the exact dimensions of the camera. It fits like a charm.
What do you think?

Impressive foam work. I've been thinking about doing the same thing. How did you cut the foam?

Hi Dave,
To cut the foam I used a plain and simple Stanley knife.
