Ditto John.

I was going to set up tonight till I saw the clouds coming. Later I went out and it started to clear in some places, but it started raining while I was out there.

At least I am not getting frosted on again.

John,

If the withdrawal symptoms get too bad, place some astro pics at a distance and look at them with binocs or a finderscope. Works a treat. Don't even need tracking

Gee I hate rain & cloud & frost & snow & fog & full moon & heat haze & bushfire smoke & . . . .

For the past couple of days the mornings have been clear until 10 or 11am when the clouds come over and by late afternoon it's overcast again. I'm on two weeks holiday so I think that I will wake up early in the morning and do some observing.

That's the usual winter pattern here, when I was a fanatical skier we'd leave home in sunshine without a cloud in sight but by 12 it had usually clouded over.
