Need help in focusing

G’Day All,
I need some help in focusing my neximager camera in I was told to try on land objects first , I have a vision but can’t get it clear . I have Meade lxd75 Newtonion 8”.Do I need some sort of adapter to get the right focal length or is it just fiddly until you get it right

Hi,

When you say you have vision do you mean you can recognise the objects you are looking at but its just a bit fuzzy?

Also does this occur at the extremity of the focuser, all the way in or all the way out or do you still have some room to focus?

Since you have everything connected you may like to post a snap from the camera you are using, there should still be some saved on your hard disc?

Yes i can recognise what i am looking and bit fuzzy
about mid way

Smile Try a hartman mask

Ian,

I had trouble focusing my telescope with a G-Star camera to a computer until I made a Hartman Mask to focus on a bright celestial object. Here is the link to making your own....
