I think I'd need to upgrade my mount to use that one.

(not to mention upgrading the salary )

But hang on, any telescope with a camera adapter is also a telephoto lens, so therefore, many of us have lenses bigger than this. The only difference I can see is that this thing is purpose built as a telephoto lens, however, Carl Zeiss only makes lenses that adapt to most camera's using an adaptor, like a telescope this thing is useless without an eyepiece (or in photography terms, a camera, both camera's and eyepieces do the same job, bring the light collected to a single pont of focus) therefore, call it a telephoto lens if you like but it is indeed a telescope or indeed a telescope is a telephoto lens.

I have a Zeiss Contarex T Mount, and if anyone buys such a lens, and wants a compatible mount, just email me. I would think A$ 199.99 would be a fair price, and it's probably only 1 % of the total cost.
