Rain, wind more rain and water views!

Any of you Queenslanders/New South Wales northerners get any photos of your water problems!

I just heard it's been classed as a disaster area: south queensland/north NSW area. Sorry to hear that, the people that live there.

You want water pics, here's Ansons Bay on the east coast of Tas where the government have just sold off our public foreshore to the people that own the shacks (on crown lease) in these pictures. A decade ago, before our current prolonged dry weather, the foreshore was flooded like this quite frequently. The government persisted in the sell-off despite advice from their own consultants and legal advice re future litigation. Many of the shacks are only a foot or so above high water mark. The pic was taken in August 99...

I detect that you might be a little bit touchy about the mention of water. Must be a tassie thing! Before you garrot me we have some "prime" lake real estate in Lake Macquarie that suffered badly from illegal longwall mining and over 200meters of prime lake waterfront land and house properties sunk 500mm into the lake, at low tide! They didn't pay $2500 rates for that much water views!!
