My sincere apologies to all in Melbourne

..........for all the rain. And look what is about to hit us!!

Took me over two hours to drive home yesterday. If I'd set off earlier my car would have been floating like others I saw!

Why apologies? A few days ago I agreed to buy another telescope. If that wasn't enough, to compound the problem, I looked at the car that hasn't been washed for around 2 years and decided to put it through the carwash Wednesday morning!!

I'd barricade the doors and windows, looking at the radar and forecast - we'll be washed away tonight! The garage was flooded again yesterday.

And my daughter is planning her 21st birthday for our back yard tomorrow night

The weather is so severe because you bought Scott's greatly improved & tweaked scope. If you had just bought a standard dob we would have only had a light shower.

AAAHH !! So YOU'RE the one Eric!! I had been wondering whom was responsible for this shocking weather lately, I mean a little rain during the day is o.k but I haven't seen the stars here for a looong time now.

So what type of new scope did you buy?

It's weeks like these that I start to wonder whether radio astronomy might not be a better hobby. I've had one decent night's seeing in Melbourne in the last couple of weeks

I have to pay for this, don't I. Had to spent an hour out in heavy rain unblocking downpipes and backyard drains tonight. And the garage got flooded again - mopping, brooming and bucketing there for a while to keep it under the level of my current scope!

This had better be a super scope! And no more washing that flamin' car!

But, it's falling in the catchments!!

Hi Eric, congrats on the new scope, the rain reached me about 8:30 pm and hasn't stopped since.

That scope must be a beauty.

Cheers
