hello joe.... ive seen you in some articles in the local astro mag, nice to see you putting up here, your image is bright enough, given youve used hdr im assuming multiple exposures, it also appears youve used some noise reduction processing which probably doesnt do it justice, the stars dont appear trailed so its obviously got some detail there, hope you dont take me as being overly critical as thats not my intention...... any chance of having a look without the noise reduction?

Hi

Correct about the noise reduction..Noise Ninja. but the reduction in size also caused problems.
I'll try and find the noisy version and put it up here.

Excellent work! Is 15 minutes a single exposure, or an add stack of multiples?

How did you save for web? I'd agree with the noise reduction and compression artifacts. If you reduce the size a bit (800px wide), and use "save for web" in photoshop, you should easily be able to get under 200k without any noticeable compression artifacts.

Is the 350D modded?

a few more exposures would knock the noise down substantially, this is a much better pic even with the noise, id put the ninja in the cubd for a while.
thanks for putting it up.
