Telescopes mainly, but I am buying a decent set of binoculars and a tripod for Kee to do her bird watching so I'll more than likely borrow them in the evenings for that lovely widefield view.

I've always used both, bino's are great to verify difficult star hops or when
you too lazy to lug the scope out and just want a quick look. Ultimately
I use the two for different purposes. Bino's for larger objects and comets
everything else is mostly telescopic.

I think an option for both would have been good.

I always use my telescope, but the binos do come in handy when you don't feel like setting up all your equipment.

- The optics are from GSO (10" F/5 mirrors)
- the scope is made from aluminium: tube, 12mm square extrusion & 0.8mm sheet, all from Bunnings.

I said telescopes. In practice I find I need both. Definately use telescopes more than binoculars though.

20 X 125mm ~ A S T R O - B I N O C U L A R S !

Right now my telescopes are in a very dark place..... A STORAGE CONTAINER! Untill i can find the next spot to re-build the Observatory/Retreat.(see link below) So at this moment it's the 7 X 50s; lite & easy for hand held viewing, the 11 x 80's on the photo tripod, and last but not least the 20 x 125's on a heavy duty fork mount.
