new here

Hello everyone I am a beginner on this site, but not a beginner at astronomy. Not very good at it, but not a beginner. I am from St. Louis Missouri, US. thats Down Under, uh Canada that is. I guess I wont be very good at discussing local events, but astronomy seems to be the same where ever you go. I have a 10" Lx200gps which is out of commision untill i can get it fixed and a 5" C5+, also a Takahashi fs102 which I am trying to get together for astrophography on a GPD2 mount. I put an order in for the new S-Big st4000xcm camera but dont know how long it will take to get one. I can retire form the fire department in a couple of years, then will take up the hobby with more time to pursue it. Looking forward to learning from you guys. Ken.

Hi Ken and welcome to IIS, hope you have a great time with us.

It must be getting a bit chilly over your way at the moment, we are all starting to cook down here.

Hope you get your 10" fixed soon.

Cheers

Hi ken and welcome aboard.

Ric you said cook down here, well yesterday we did at 35 degrees, but today it has dropped to 14 and raining, plus some strong winds.
The nags in the Ballarat cup will surely feel it.

Leon

Hi Ken!

I'm curious, what fate did the LX200GPS suffer?
