Hi all
Last night I had a go at getting the sharpest pic I could of the crescent moon, taking multiple images then using Registax multi point alingment, then wavelets to finish it off.

5 x ISO100 images with 10 inch f5.6 scope.
The fact I live in a coastal city means when the seabreezes are on, the temperature doesnt fall very fast on dark, so if I set up as soon as the sun sets, or even a bit before, the full thickness Sutching pyrex mirror has a chance to equalize closer to the ambient temp. The back of the tube is open, a 2 inch gap allowing air to circulate, hopefully removing most of the scope seeing effects. Mirror lockup function of modded 350D helps too. Processed as monochrome image.
