If you're going to be in Sydney on Monday 4th July, the annual Harley Wood Public Lecture will be held at Sydney University. Organised by the Astronomical Society of Australia, this year's speaker is Professor Bryan Gaensler.
There is no entrance fee, but bookings are essential.
