Moon 16th November

Canon S3IS, afocal, 30mm EP, 10" Dob.
ISO 80, 1/160th sec.

Note:- I added a copy of the image that has had a little USM applied.
The first image, apart from a resize, has no processing.

Very nice thanks Jeanette. I can now see the detail I'm missing since I've just given up with light cloud cover obscuring everything!

Hi Jeanette

Wow – that is an excellent portrait of our neighbour! I very much like the way you have managed to control the extremities between the highlights and shadows, quite a difficult task when faced with such a range of brightness values.

The wrinkle ridges in Mare Serenitatis look very nice, as well as the prominent crater Posidonius. Hah, I’m just showing off now ‘cos I’m comparing your photo to my lunar charting program!

Cheers

Dennis

LOL.
My aim this year was to learn more about the moon.
It might turn into a 2 year project.

I've added a copy of the same picture.
Honest opinions appreciated.
Which is better, processed or unprocessed.
