First serious attempt with DSI Pro

Had my first session the other night with my 250mm F6 home made Newt and my first serious attempt at deep space with the DSI Pro. Didn't know what to expect but am reasonable happy. Still only in monochrome have as yet no idea how to process my LRGB image of the Tarantula. More reading and mucking around required.

Tuc47 - 12 by 15sec. stacked in registack de-interlaced in Photoshop.

Tarantula 4x15sec combined in Envisage Deep Space as a jpg file. De-interlaced in Photoshop.

Anyone know of a Free Imaging program for DSI Pro instead of Envisage???

A fine start Alexander, they have both come out very well but to me it seems like they need a extra tweek on the fine focus.

Both images have nice detail into their cores which are not overdone.

Nice work.

I like the tarantula shot - aperture rules all!..... like Ric said, a tidge more focus and you are well on the way.... I wouldn't worry too much with RGB for a bit - I've had mine for a year, have only just started mucking around with the filters....
Tuc47 - looks a bit overstretched - almost a 1-bit image..... Good start though.....

Nebulosity
isn't free, but knocks spots off of envisage!
