I have uploaded 3.0i, I had 3.0d which i found worked very well. Some had issues in polar mode with 3.0d, but these have been sorted out as far as i know with 3.0i.

Of course i have yet to test it, but as i use Alt/Az mode it should be fine.

The weather is hopeless

Best,

I still have 2.0i , wasnt sure about getting 3.0d because of some bugs that some groups came across . Ill wait a few days to see reactions before doing the deed.

You know you really don't have to upgrade.
If you are happy with 2.0i then stick to it.
I had 1.4g first. It was to slow on GPS fix.
I then went to 1.7k.

This was really good so i satyed with it for a while. I was happy enogh not to go with the 2s version.
Then 3.0d came and i thought oh well if you can upgrade well its a jump from 1.7k so i did.

Now a few people had problems with polar mode but I never had any problems in Alt/Az mode.

But it seems as meade did a fix quickly and went to 3.0i so i decided to upload this.

I have not used it obviously due to weather

If the 3.0i is good I will stay with it. The versions a getting very large now so it is geeting harder to fit everything in. Comets , tours etc.

So good luck with your transfer

Best.

Paul just go to meades site and go to the download etc page and follow the instructions . Im a little rusty on the procedures because ive only done one and i had no hassles then but its pretty straightforward from memory . If your unsure go to www.MeadeLX200GPS.com , theres some great info there regarding this and other stuff . Bintel have a page that links you directly to the meade pages for updates , new tours , comets etc.
