Large Magellanic Cloud Mosaic in HDR

Another clear night and collected a lot more data. Enough to produce a decent mosaic. Been up all night will post more detail later. I am going to have a beer (1) and then get some sleep.

Notice all the dark nebula I could only get a hint of without HDR. Not to mention the superb detail.

Nice Bert! I took a similar shot of the SMC. With a quick glance it looks rather noisey but when you look at your high res version you realise that its not noise but heaps of faint background stars!
you have brought out the faint nebulosity well too!
cheers

Here is a 395x269 crop from the original tiff then upsized to a 1800x1225 jpg. If you viewed the full image at this magnification it would be over four meters wide or at 100% on a typical monitor 6.4 meters wide! This should give you an idea what the 17 MB jpg looks like.
