William Optics 100mm guide rings

New condition WO 100mm guide rings $100 + postage.

These were supplied with a Zenithstar 80 ED package but unfortunately cannot be fitted to the scope without removing the focuser assembly.

Can't you remove the lens cell to fit them? Much easier than removing the focuser.

The the tube unscrews from the focuser assembly quite easily but I just don't like having to open up the scope each time I change applications. I have spoken to WO and they already have the matter under review for future ring manufacture.
I have a set of 108mm Losmandys on order as I prefer just to slip them on and off.

They are a very nice set of rings though.

I though it may be helpful to the seller and any potential buyers if I posted a photo of the WO 100mm rings holding the WO 66 Petzval. So if you have the WO 66, you could consider these rings, as the WO 66 Petzval OTA can be fitted without the need to unscrew OTA components. All you do is back off the mounting bolts and slide the WO 66mm OTA inside the gap. These rings are very well made and really solid.

(Note: In my photo, the WO 66mm was purchased from Sirius Optics and the rings are mounted on a separate WO dovetail plate).

Cheers

Dennis

PS – posted after PM’ing the seller.
