Sky Scout

Hi Chaps,
I am thinking off fitting a Sky Scout to my Dobsonian Telescope in addition to the finder scope. Has any one else done this, and if they have, has there been any issues with the metal in the scope tube interfering with the internal compass of the Sky Scout. Any other advise is appreciated.
Thank You
Rastis.

Metal will cause problems with the unit and I do not think that it would work well mounted on a DOB. Far better to invest in an Argo Navis system for a "push to"...

With the SkyScout, I need to remove my watch otherwise I get an error message because of it's (the watch) metal content.

I am in the US at the moment...but, the unit does operate as advertised here. I have not had a chance yet to use mine in Australia.

Cheers,

Scott
