It seems that Meade has discontinued ETX-105 scope. Also the electronics Focuser for ETX-105 is being sold by Meade factory outlet for US29.95. Here you have to pay $200. Unfortunately Meade will not ship to Australia.

I also note that Meade will not now release there 'new' AP0 Series 5000 127mm triplets. Some of the 80mm series 5000's reached the market. No reason given but ? difficulty in obtaining suitable glass and mating them correctly at a reasonable cost. That leaves the Synta [Orion / Saxon / Skywatcher] as the 'entry' level 5 in 'APO' available . [In this case 4.75 in.]
