Orion Last Night

A couple of single images taken lastnight using my ED80 and 350D. Will have to get guiding up and running correctly and try some longer images and image stacking.

I was realy happy with these images even the drift wasn't too bad considering Orion neb was a 285sec exposure and the Horsehead was a 360sec exposure. Guiding still needs some work although I am using a canon zoom lens with my DSI attached as a guide scope.
I will keep trying.

Good effort Doug.

For a single image of the Great Nebula, you have picked up a lot of detail, the Horsehead is notoriously difficult to image at the best of times.

When you start stacking a few images together you will bring out a lot more detail. Keep at it.

Cheers
