The Norma Nebula NGC6188

Hello everyone,

Here's another recent image of the central region of the Norma Nebula.
There's some pretty interesting looking objects in this image. The bright star at centre-right is SAO 227049, part of star cluster NGC 6193.

It's only a relatively short exposure 7 x 4 min @ ISO-400 but still turned out well.

Go here for a better look at the image http://www.skylab.com.au/pmsa/ngc6188.html

Wow, that's really pretty Paul, love the contrast of the black and then the red nebula.

Nice image Paul. The sky is certainly inky black (not sure how natural looking this is) though you don't appear to have lost any faint details - no clipping present. Well done.

Lovely shot Paul, I like how well the green comes out, and the detail in that tiny greenish nebula round the star.

Geeday everyone,

Well I'm gobsmacked by the gratious comments you have all left - thanks!
Glad you liked the image, it's certainly an interesting area of sky and well suited to wide field imaging.

clear skies
