dragonfly on lotus flower

Hi all,

I was just looking through my photos from a recent trip to Japan and came across this one: a dragonfly on a lotus flower. I hope you like it.

Whilst I was composing the shot, which took me a while, the dragonfly flew off- rats- but was immediately! replaced by another one. I quickly snapped the shot before it, too, flew away.

i think what i like about the shot is not so much the actual content but the experience when I took it. i guess that is like most photographs.

a bit philosophical for a Sunday morning.
