Congratualtion h0ughy

For those of you who don't have it yet, you'll have to wait. For those of you who do, of course I'm talking about AS&T (Not the "other" one) check out David Houghy's great shot in the bat oops I mean back.

Onya h0ughy: nice shot.

Thanks for that, it was a suprise that it got printed, but a whole page I was just setting up to photograph the partial lunar eclipse and that cheesy moon was rising, together with heaps of fruit bats flying from a parkland area called Blackbutt to the wetlands area in newcastle. I counted about 120 in about 5 minutes. my reaction time for the shutter release was a bit slow as i had to wait until they just hit the edge then by the time it was pressed I got the one I wanted. Thank goodness for digital cameras!

July's AS&T was mailed out to subscribers earlier this week. It will be in the shops next Wednesday.

Really great stuff David! My 4 year old Noah asked, "I didn't know bats could be almost as big as the moon".....

Great shot David, got my copy today too. You should've processed the moon a bit though.. A bit of unsharp mask does wonders

I was hoping they'd use my Lunar Eclipse shot instead of the one they have there.. nevermind maybe next time
