Ancient star constellation globes

Hi,

here are photos of two ancient globes showing constellations in the sky. Photos taken today in the Vatican Museum. Unfortunately there were no labels to say anything about the globes. My guess would be that they are around 500 years old.

The photos are not that great as the lighting was horrible, globes well protected behind reflective glass and crowds of people in the way.
However, I could not resist the temptation to post them here. I was just not sure which forum was the most suitable

It is nice to see how much we have advanced with our computers and live-view of constellations and stars in the sky.
