The Macarthur Astronomical Society proudly presents "Professor Fred Watson" Astronomer in Charge of the A.A.O. Telescope at Coonabarabran.
The presentation will be on "Tomorrows Telescopes"

Where? U.W.S. Campbelltown, Bldg 21, Room 6.
Date &Time? Monday September 17th, 7.30pm Sharp!!

Sounds like your in for an good evening. Interesting Topic!

I wonder if he means 'Pro', or 'amatuer' Telescopes as well. I can just picture us setting up our half metre James Webb scopes in the back yard.

I attended Fred’s ‘Telescope’ talk at Macquarie Uni recently (see obscurely-titled thread below) and it’s a ripper. Past, present and future professional ground- and space-based telescope designs are covered in a very amusing and informative presentation … don’t miss it!

LOL! Fred is truly an amazing speaker. Knowledgable, informative, funny and mindful of the audience' capacity for jargon. What a treat that was! I've never seen so many people front up to an MAS monthly meeting...

had me on the edge of my seat all the way
