Thanks. Here's a grayscale. I've never noticed just how non-round it is. 21:20 ratio of dimensions on my screen. Is this real?

Can't say I've ever measured it, Bill. But I don't see a problem with it not being exactly round. Nothing else in space is.

Yep, the Greyscale looks better. It is a very good image. The rays stand out nicely

I just measured pixels, and that image is square. Does your screen have square pixels?

It is about 450 pixels both ways.

Lovely image Bill, that's a whole lot of earthshine to get that image, given it was new moon the other day

Thanks, Citovolus. I used the monitor's adjustments to make it round on my screen, so the world can relax now. Here's the 100% crop. The brown color is perhaps because it was taken just post-eclipse (11:39pm AEST) on 28Aug07.
