New 'LiveView' enabled DSLR's...

Last week I picked up a Canon 40D. I cant wait to hook it up to my Humble little C8 and do some moon shooting - Im not sure If you guys keep up with the recent DSLR developments, but this model has a liveView option, similar to the old Canon 20Da. When enabled, it flips the mirror up, and provides a live view of the scene on the large 3 inch LCD on the back. It allows a magnified view to check focus. This will be so damn nice!

The live view on my Oly E-510 is excellent for manual focussing with the magnification and if necessary live boost (in low light conditions) option. The Canon, of course, should give much better results for astro work (less noise!)

Cost me $1820 from Camera Lane in Melbourne. I think you can get it a bit cheaper, but only a bit.

Im going to be selling my 20D, so that will offset the cost a bit

Let us know how you go with it toc.
There's a couple of threads on here about the 40D already, it will be interesting to see how LiveView goes for astro work.
