Interesting news for Sydneyites ......http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems...6/s1394159.htm ..... dont now how effective it would be but at least its one step in the fight against light pollution.

should be more of it. There is really no excuse to leave high rise office building lights on all night. If they only thought how much money they would save by turning them off.

Heard about it last night - would be nice to be there for it but alas I won't be.

Might reduce the "sydney glow" just a bit from my house, though

What a great idea.

Although I support that sort of thing 100%; how much of a difference is that going to make for those in the suburbs though? Wouldnt the skyglow from the surrounding suburbs etc still effect things?

I wish they would do that here in Bathurst, we almost have a skyglow problem of our own. I should jump up to the top of Mt Panorama and get a picture of it..

Wouldn't it be excellent if they turned off all the skyscraper lights every night. They don't need to be on anyway. Impose a Fine for any office buiding owner/tenants leaving more than 30% of it's lights on after 10p.m.
